Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living, helping patients maintain dignity and comfort
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility support with patience and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations, promptly communicating changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and positioning to reduce fall risk and promote comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols consistently
• Collaborate with nurses and other staff to deliver coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the applicable state
• Active state registry listing as required by facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work per diem day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and adapt to variable schedules
• Successful background check and any required health screenings or immunizations per facility policy
• Compassionate approach, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• CNA training program completion and state certification
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside manners with attention to dignity and comfort
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe handling procedures
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Effective verbal communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during a busy shift
