Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the patient record
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Support care plans by following instructions from nurses and therapists

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per-diem shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassion is a must

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with bathing, feeding, toileting
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Infection control and hand hygiene best practices
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff
