Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (nights), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight); days vary / not specified

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Support patient mobility and safety, including transfers and fall prevention
Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and basic observations
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Support patients' emotional needs and promote dignity in care delivery

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in New Mexico (current and in good standing)
Completion of an accredited CNA training program
BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire as required
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
Willingness to complete required background check, drug screen, and immunizations

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fundamentals in patient care and infection control
Comfortable taking vital signs and assisting with ADLs
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic records
