Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Overnight (Night) shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming needs
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain clear and timely documentation of patient care and observations
Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, patients, and families to coordinate care
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team-player attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Taking and documenting vital signs
Basic infection control and safety practices
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
