Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate hands-on patient care consistent with LPN scope
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to policy
- Monitor and assess patient condition; report changes promptly to the care team
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — current and in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior LPN experience in a clinical or acute care setting preferred
- Ability to perform duties during 12.5-hour shifts and maintain endurance and focus
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Completed LPN program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid working knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Proficiency with patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Good time management and critical thinking under pressure
- Compassionate patient-centered approach and strong teamwork skills
