Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ED setting
Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the chart
Respond to codes and emergency situations with calm, skilled action
Contribute to continuous improvement and ED performance initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtained quickly
Experience or comfort working in Emergency Department / ER settings
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
Ability to perform IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
Proficient clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
Critical thinking, prioritization, and time management under pressure
Clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
