Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure
Take and document vital signs accurately and consistently
Triage patient calls to assess urgency and route to the appropriate provider or resource
Manage prescription refills and complete prior authorizations to keep patients on track with their medications
Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and support outcomes
Delegate tasks and provide direction to CNAs and schedulers while receiving direction from providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors and RNs
Serve as a primary liaison between patients, staff and providers to ensure clear communication and smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Ability to follow state and federal continuing education/licensure requirements
Comfort supervising CNAs and working collaboratively with clinical teams

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatrics and clinic nursing experience
Vital signs assessment and documentation
Triage skills for patient telephone and in-person assessments
Experience with prescription refills and completing prior authorizations
Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
Delegation and supervision of support staff
