Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents/patients within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident comfort and dignity
- Participate in care planning, charting, and shift handoffs to ensure continuity
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain) — required
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable with medication administration and basic nursing assessments
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and medication administration
- Ability to chart accurately and use electronic or paper documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
- Awareness of infection control and safety practices
