Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave equipment to produce sonographic images for physician review
• Collaborate closely with physicians to assess findings and support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide compassionate patient assessment and prepare patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety
• Document imaging results and maintain clear, timely records in accordance with facility protocols
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; follow infection control and safety procedures
• Participate in department meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sonographer experience (required)
• ARDMS certification required (document must be provided)
• Ability to accept occasional on-call shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage
• Familiarity with collaborating alongside physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
• NIHSS certification link provided for reference; NIHSS familiarity is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ultrasound and diagnostic imaging techniques
• Strong patient assessment and bedside interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical teams
• Comfortable managing imaging documentation and adhering to facility policies
• Adaptability to variable schedules and on-call requirements

• On-call pay: $2 per hour with a one hour minimum
• Rebate: 1% of all billings related to this assignment
• Local placement rate adjustment: applicants within 50 miles may be considered at 11% less the travel rate
