Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends; Day shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (3x12); Night shifts: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM (3x12); start times include 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM; self-scheduled based on seniority; must be open to all shift times

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging exams for adult acute care and emergency patients using GE and Toshiba 64-slice scanners
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and document contrast use accurately
• Operate PACS and document findings in Epic charting in a timely manner
• Support rapid stroke and trauma workflows with efficient image acquisition and teamwork
• Assist with advanced and special procedures including biopsies, aspirations and drainages when needed
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control practices, including proper PPE and isolation precautions
• Communicate clearly with physicians, nursing and transport teams to ensure smooth patient flow
• Contribute to a high-volume, fast-paced department while keeping patient comfort and safety a priority

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (CT or R) required; ARRT CT preferred
• CT certification and California CRT recognized
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience (posting references up to 2 years in some sections); first-time travelers accepted
• Community hospital or adult acute care experience preferred
• No floating and no on-call required for this role
• Pending license not accepted; RTO restrictions must be included at time of submission

Education

• Certification/registration as ARRT (CT or R) and CT certification
• Current BLS certification; California CRT as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT scanning protocols including abdomen, pelvis, chest and head imaging
• Experience with coronary CTA, brain perfusion and vascular CTA procedures
• Familiarity with PACS and Fuji Synapse image systems
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and radiation safety
• Comfortable working in adult acute care, outpatient and ED settings
• Experience assisting with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations and drainages
• Ability to operate GE and Toshiba 64-slice CT equipment
• Strong teamwork, communication and emergency response skills
