Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
• Provide routine patient care such as feeding, mobility assistance, and positioning
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerning changes to the nurse in charge
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document patient care in a clear, timely manner and contribute to care plans
• Support patient comfort and emotional needs through compassionate communication
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to ensure coordinated care
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to promote patient safety

Qualifications

• Current/state-certified CNA in Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Background check and drug screen clearance
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads from accredited programs are welcome
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and basic clinical skills (vitals, hygiene, feeding)
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and transfers using safe techniques
• Basic documentation skills; familiarity with electronic health records is a plus
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes appropriately
