Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and electronic records
• Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and social engagement through daily interactions

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working in a long-term care setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-focused attitude
• Ability to pass facility background check and pre-employment screening
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality resident care

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, assisting with mobility, personal care
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Familiarity with charting and basic electronic health record entries
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
