Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including toileting, bathing, grooming, and transfers
• Respond promptly to call lights and attend to resident needs in a timely, compassionate manner
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and other clinical observations accurately
• Report any changes in resident condition or behavior to nursing staff right away
• Document care and observations with attention to detail and clarity
• Ensure resident safety and comfort while promoting dignity and independence
• Report any allegations or signs of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the charge nurse
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality resident care

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• 1+ years of related long-term care experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
• Ability to perform resident transfers and support ADLs safely
• Comfortable working evening/PM shifts and providing compassionate resident care
• Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition and concerns about abuse or neglect

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident transfers
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and weights
• Experience with accurate reporting and documentation practices
• Knowledge of resident safety protocols and abuse/neglect reporting procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Detail-oriented with consistent focus on resident comfort and dignity
