Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients
• Monitor and interpret patient status during overnight hours and escalate changes promptly
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, seamless care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs with clarity and empathy
• Support unit workflow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers during your shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (per job posting)
• Experience in Progressive Care/PCU nursing or similar acute care setting
• Current facility-required credentials and compliance with onboarding requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patient management and monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills during overnight shifts
• Comfort with medication administration and common acute-care interventions
• Clear communication and teamwork to ensure continuity of care
• Professional documentation and charting accuracy
