Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and visitors
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active ability to work in Pennsylvania (state certification preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check and required immunizations
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assistant skills and hands-on patient care
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
- Teamwork, time management, and effective communication
