Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, supporting independence and dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes promptly
- Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning in collaboration with the care team
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain before start)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Demonstrated patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively on a care team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-recognized CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with patient bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support patients with compassion
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
