Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility support
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of patient care and observations
- Support infection control practices and help maintain a clean, safe environment
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; a caring attitude is a must
- Previous experience in long-term care or related setting preferred but not strictly required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with vital signs, ADLs, basic patient hygiene and mobility assistance
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
