Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care at the bedside in an acute care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and basic comfort measures
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support efficient unit workflow by collaborating with nurses and other care team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies to ensure safe care

Qualifications

• Active CNA credential (Certified Nursing Assistant) — this role is for CNAs
• Experience or comfort working in an acute care environment preferred
• Ability to work 12.5-hour per-diem shifts and adapt to facility scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (typical requirement for CNA training and credentialing)

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of acute care principles and patient safety
• Proficiency with basic patient care tasks (vitals, bathing, transfers, feeding)
• Ability to follow care plans, infection control protocols, and documentation standards
• Compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
