Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic nursing care to residents, keeping dignity and comfort front and center
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly, escalating concerns as needed
• Support safe patient transfers and fall prevention practices
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care in resident charts and communicate updates to the care team
• Help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes resident well-being and engagement
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a collaborative, resident-focused care plan

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• T-CNA designation noted in the facility class and preferred
• Ability to work day shifts and rotating weekends comfortably
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Compassionate, patient-centered mindset with strong communication skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to follow facility policies and procedures

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs and observation skills
• Infection control best practices and safe handling techniques
• Accurate charting and basic documentation practices
• Teamwork and effective communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in resident condition
