Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Measure and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning following facility protocols
• Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and privacy while promoting independence
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Document care provided thoroughly and timely in the patient record system

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Georgia certification preferred or eligible)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role (lifting, transferring, standing for long periods)
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Availability to work 12.5-hour shifts as required by the facility

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and basic clinical skills
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Infection control and hand hygiene best practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
