Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition promptly
Assist with activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate with nursing staff
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to keep residents safe
Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — PA state credential preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Current BLS/CPR certification as required by facility (or willing to obtain)
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (assisting with transfers, standing, walking)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Fundamental infection control practices
Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
Basic charting and following care plans
Teamwork and the ability to follow direction from licensed nursing staff
