Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming—with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Help create a warm, welcoming environment by building rapport and offering emotional support
• Document care provided accurately and communicate observations during shift handoffs
• Partner with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Demonstrated patient-centered approach with strong communication skills
• Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or must be willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of infection control and proper PPE use
• Ability to take accurate vitals and recognize changes in patient condition
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Comfortable with gentle mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Team player mindset with good time management and prioritization
• Empathy, patience, and respect for resident dignity
