Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, observe patients and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, promoting patient independence when possible
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Accurately document care and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support quality care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or completion of an approved CNA program (Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligible to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism
• Willingness to pass background check and meet employer immunization or health requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
• Comfortable with vital sign monitoring and basic clinical observations
• Basic charting and documentation skills; eager to learn electronic charting if used
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
