Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to prevent falls and injuries
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for Pennsylvania
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working directly with residents and following care plans
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a care team
- Reliable, professional, and committed to quality resident care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Vital signs measurement and observation/reporting of resident changes
- Infection control principles and safe hand hygiene practices
- Safe patient handling and transfer assistance
- Basic documentation and charting practices; good attention to detail
- Compassionate, resident-centered communication and teamwork
