Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive post-procedural nursing care to CHS and Med/Tele patients, ensuring safe recovery and comfort.
• Continuously monitor telemetry and rapidly identify changes in cardiac rhythm or patient status.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, adhering to ACLS and BLS protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and support smooth handoffs between shifts.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate timely post-procedure care and disposition.
• Educate patients and families about post-procedure expectations, recovery steps, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio (required prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (post-procedural/Med/Tele experience strongly preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) — required prior to start
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) — required prior to start
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating day/night shifts and participating in holiday/weekend rotations
• BSN and Magnet-recognized certifications are preferred but not strictly required

Education

• BSN (preferred)

• Post-procedural care best practices and recovery monitoring
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV/infusion experience
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and prioritization in fast-paced settings
