Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the cost accounting system to drive accurate service line profitability analysis
• Oversee the Decision Support system and STRATA forecasting module to support strategic and financial planning
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and produce actionable scorecards
• Prepare and validate financial feasibility studies using STRATA (ROI, NPV, IRR) for capital projects
• Lead reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA) and support audit and regulatory reporting
• Train and mentor managers and direct reports to interpret productivity software and leverage financial data
• Support software implementations (ERP, leasing software) and provide oversight on finance-related components
• Compile data and reports for insurance renewals, FEMA/Single Audits, GME reporting and annual financial audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required)
• Experience with STRATA financial software or a similar decision support/feasibility tool
• Demonstrated healthcare experience, preferably within hospitals or healthcare contracting
• Strong financial modeling skills and familiarity with ROI, NPV, IRR and other capital evaluation metrics
• Proven experience publishing P&Ls, cost reporting and supporting external agency reporting
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of mentoring or leading small finance teams
• Preferred: MBA or MHA and financial/healthcare certifications

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and service line profitability analysis
• Expertise in financial forecasting, reporting and decision support processes
• Familiarity with STRATA systems, ERP components and leasing software
• Understanding of hospital reimbursement, bundled payments and physician reimbursement models
• Comfort preparing materials for rating agencies and external audits
• Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities and attention to data accuracy
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
