Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of outpatient imaging to ensure excellent patient care and workflow
• Supervise and mentor Lead and Senior Technologists, fostering staff development and clinical competency
• Manage staffing and resources to meet productivity targets and departmental goals
• Implement and support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, ACR)
• Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and best practices
• Act as a clinical resource for staff, other departments, patients and families to solve care coordination issues
• Monitor departmental performance and report trends to leadership to drive improvements
• Participate in hiring, evaluations, progressive discipline and performance management

Qualifications

• Current CRT (California Certificate of Radiologic Technology) OR ARRT license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Minimum five years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• At least two years supervisory experience in an acute-care environment (desired 3–5 years supervisory/managerial experience)
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform and maintain clinical competencies in diagnostic radiography and patient positioning

Education

• Associate Degree (minimum) in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Current CRT or ARRT credential as required licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic exposure principles, image quality control and quality assurance
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, and ACR survey/compliance standards
• Understanding of radiation physics, radiation protection and radiobiology
• Strong patient care and positioning skills across pediatric to geriatric populations
• Leadership skills including delegation, staff development and resource allocation
• Excellent communication, interdepartmental coordination and problem-solving abilities
