Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote independence and improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and on time
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs to support recovery
• Participate in discharge planning and community resource coordination to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Current California Occupational Therapy license (required)
• OTR credential or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Active NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Comfortable with documentation, electronic health records, and outcome measurement tools
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset
• Previous clinical experience in occupational therapy settings preferred but enthusiastic new grads may be considered

Education

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (required)
• Completion of accredited OT program and supervised clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessment and treatment planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and home modification recommendations
• Proficient in therapeutic techniques for activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing, PT, SLP and case management
