Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients with precision and compassionate care
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators, CT simulator and related radiation therapy equipment
• Follow physician treatment plans and ensure accurate treatment delivery and documentation
• Monitor patients during treatment, including sedation/analgesia care when needed
• Maintain strict radiation safety practices for patients, staff and the public
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, nurses and other team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in quality assurance, equipment checks and safety protocols to support accreditation standards

Qualifications

• Current Hawaii State Radiation Therapist license (required)
• Current CPR certification at Healthcare Professional level (required)
• Experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
• Proven ability to operate LINACs, CT simulators and HDR brachytherapy equipment
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment with exposure to radiation and body fluids
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation Therapy techniques and patient care
• Operation of Linear Accelerator (LINAC) and CT Simulator
• Radiation Safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Administering radiation treatments and treatment verification
• Patient monitoring, including sedation/analgesia support when required
• Familiarity with brachytherapy, tomotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and total body irradiation (preferred)
