Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on basic care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Support meal assistance and hydration, ensuring patient needs are met with dignity
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly with colleagues
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Valid state CNA certification (California preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks involved in patient care safely

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer methods
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable with clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
