Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care for adult patients
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and act quickly on clinically significant changes
Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments safely and accurately
Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings clearly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and execute patient care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge instructions
Escalate changes in patient condition to providers and participate in handoffs for continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license (California) — required
Telemetry experience (demonstrated comfort with cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and effective communication with patients and team members
Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt to varying clinical environments

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Patient assessment, documentation and nursing process
Patient/family education and discharge planning
Prioritization, time management and critical thinking under pressure
Team collaboration and clear clinical communication
