Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and act promptly on changes
Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to telemetry patients
Administer medications and document interventions accurately
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team on care plans
Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in patient status
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Current RN license (California RN license required if working in-state)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Experience working on a telemetry unit or with cardiac monitoring preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry equipment
Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care basics
Knowledge of acute care nursing documentation and electronic health records
Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond in high-acuity situations
Comfortable working autonomously during night shifts
