Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general, vascular, OB/GYN, breast, pediatric, neonatal, and small parts ultrasound exams
• Execute Doppler and duplex vascular studies, carotid, aorta, upper and lower extremity arterial and venous exams
• Conduct obstetric exams including first, second, and third trimester assessments and fetal anatomical surveys
• Carry out ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and fine needle aspirations, and paracentesis as needed
• Document exams accurately in Epic and manage images in PACS for timely clinician review
• Collaborate with Radiology and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care and workflow
• Assist with precepting and mentoring clinicians and students to build team capability
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and facility guidelines to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience (as listed in the job requirements)
• ARDMS certification preferred; ARDMS RVT, CCI, RDCS, and BLS highly desirable
• Proficiency with Epic charting and PACS image management
• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment preferred
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities including evenings, overnights, and 24-hour weekend coverage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across adult, pediatric, neonatal, and obstetric populations
• Willingness to precept and support colleagues when needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound program or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• General ultrasound imaging across abdominal, pelvic, neonatal, pediatric, and small parts exams
• Vascular ultrasound techniques including Doppler, color flow, duplex, and renal artery duplex
• OB/GYN ultrasound skills including fetal biometry, amniotic fluid index, and placenta evaluation
• Breast and transvaginal ultrasound experience
• Ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsy/FNA and paracentesis
• Familiarity with Epic and PACS workflows and GE ultrasound equipment
• Adherence to infection control, isolation precautions, and proper PPE use
