Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / Varied days, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening, day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful direct care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and use of assistive devices to prevent falls
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Prior experience in long-term care or acute care environments is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic nursing care and infection prevention practices
Skill in patient lifting, transfers, and safe body mechanics
Familiarity with documentation and electronic charting basics
Good observational skills to notice and report subtle changes in condition
Customer-service mindset with patience and emotional resilience
