Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and provide compassionate, timely outpatient nursing care
• Start and maintain IVs and perform phlebotomy to support diagnostics and treatment
• Administer medications and vaccines safely following facility protocols
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythm as needed
• Provide wound care, including wound vac management when indicated
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient responses in Epic/CS Link
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications and follow-up
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and participate in emergency response
• Maintain infection control, isolation precautions and appropriate PPE use

Qualifications

• Active CA LVN license in good standing
• BLS from AHA or ARC (required)
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations
• Minimum 1 year experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department
• Minimum 2 years overall outpatient experience
• Phlebotomy certification and IV certification required
• Experience charting in Epic and/or CS Link
• Locals accepted within a 50-minute commute; pending licenses are not accepted
• Preferred: 3+ years experience in Internal Medicine, Urgent Care or ED

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing / LVN program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• IV therapy and starting/maintaining IVs
• Phlebotomy technique and specimen handling
• Vaccine administration and medication administration (IM, SQ, oral)
• 12-lead EKG acquisition and basic cardiac monitoring
• Wound care and familiarity with wound vac systems
• Oxygen delivery, nasal cannula and respiratory support basics
• Vital sign monitoring and triage assessment
• Proficiency with Epic/CS Link charting systems
• Infection control, isolation precautions and PPE use
• Strong communication, patient education and teamwork skills
