Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care for critically ill adult and pediatric patients in the ICU
• Operate and manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support within ICU scope
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to support safe, coordinated treatment
• Float between like-units to meet patient care needs across the facility
• Collaborate closely with ICU nurses, physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalation situations during night shifts
• Follow facility policies for call-off and makeup shifts and support staffing continuity

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active state respiratory therapist license required, pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with comfort working in ICU settings
• Comfortable and experienced caring for both pediatric and adult ICU patients
• Experience charting in Epic is required or strongly preferred
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays and to float between like-units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ICU respiratory care knowledge for adults and children
• Proficiency with Epic charting and clinical documentation
• Ability to manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
• Adaptability to float between units and handle varied patient acuity
• Effective communication and teamwork during high-acuity night shifts
• Reliability with scheduling expectations, including every-other-weekend coverage
