Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in a hospital setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document patient responses
- Perform routine assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the patient record and follow facility protocols
- Support patient education and discharge planning with a focus on safety and recovery
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state licensure required or eligible)
- Previous practical nursing experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and charting
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records and care teams
