Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate with the care team and families to ensure consistent, quality care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Ability to work day shifts beginning at 6:00 AM and stay until 6:30 PM as scheduled
- Valid state-required credentials and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with basic nursing care procedures and resident hygiene
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and intake/output
- Good observational skills to notice and report resident condition changes
- Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
- Team-oriented mindset and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
