Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN
- Administer medications and document accurately during overnight shifts
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe care plans
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while preserving dignity
- Maintain accurate charting and conduct thorough shift handoffs for continuity
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Graduation from an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
- Ability to pass facility background and health screening requirements
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Basic nursing assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Electronic health record (EHR) navigation and charting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
