Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for residents at Larkin Chase Center
- Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Document care, observations, and interventions clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care plans
- Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and next steps
- Support a positive, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current and active RN or LPN license in Maryland (RN preferred for this posting)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working per diem shifts with a flexible schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; resident-focused mindset
- Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Practical Nursing diploma for LPN, Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing for RN)
- BSN preferred for Registered Nurse candidates when available
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and basic nursing procedures
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with long-term care or skilled nursing workflows
- Effective patient and family communication
- Time management and organized charting skills
