Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Document resident care and progress clearly and timely
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and resident families
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Observe and report behavioral or health changes to clinical staff
Qualifications
- State GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test as required by facility
- Background check and drug screening clearance
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in elder care and long-term care settings
- Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved GNA or nurse aide training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of ADLs and basic geriatric care practices
- Comfortable taking vitals and documenting care
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
- Basic computer or EMR familiarity for charting is a plus
