Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), Days vary, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention through careful assistance and positioning
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team about resident needs
- Document care and observations in accordance with facility policies and regulations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Contribute to a warm, respectful environment that enhances quality of life for older adults
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
- CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric settings preferred
- Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
- Ability to pass background and health screenings
- Strong communication, patience, and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility; physical stamina for the role
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, infection control
- Understanding of geriatric care needs and age-related conditions
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication with residents and families
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Empathy, patience, and culturally sensitive care
