Shift Type: Per diem nights (schedule varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident condition and behavior accurately in charts and care plans
- Communicate changes in resident status promptly to the nursing team and families
- Support a safe, clean environment and participate in infection control practices
- Respond quickly and professionally to call bells and urgent resident needs
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certification required or obtained shortly after hire (per facility policy)
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar geriatric setting preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a resident-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary care team
- Observation skills to notice and report changes in resident health or behavior
