Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Pennsylvania certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Comfortable working evening shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling needs
• Reliable, patient-focused, and able to work collaboratively with a care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with personal care and patient assistance
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Strong observational skills and ability to escalate clinical concerns
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and teammates
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation skills; ability to follow care plans and directions
