Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (variable days as scheduled), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift (Second Shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting
Assist residents with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and observe changes in condition
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate concerns to the nursing team
Support a safe, clean and dignified environment for residents
Build rapport with residents and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification required or obtainable prior to or upon hire
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
Reliable transportation and the ability to work the scheduled shift
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
A caring bedside manner and ability to build trusting relationships
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Team communication skills and willingness to collaborate with RNs and other staff
