Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report patient condition changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with attention to technique
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable and dignified environment for patients
- Collaborate with nurses and therapists to follow care plans accurately
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the patient record
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
- Ability and willingness to work 12+ hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with patient lifting/assistance and following safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient bathing, feeding, toileting and basic hygiene assistance
- Vital signs measurement and reporting
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Teamwork and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
