Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting — with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate bedside care and timely assistance with mobility and transfers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA certification preferred
• Comfortable working evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) on a per diem basis
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including assisting with transfers
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and basic patient care
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Clear, professional communication with residents and team members
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic or paper charting
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude under pressure
