Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (Day shift). Nights are part of the rotation as scheduled; weekend requirement: minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular progressive care patients with compassion and clinical precision
- Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status, interpret trends, and act promptly to changes in patient condition
- Manage cardiac drips and titratable infusions safely and according to protocol
- Perform chest tube and epidural management, tube feedings, and IV glucose management as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate post-op care for CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
- Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in the Cerner EMR
- Serve as a patient advocate and educator to support recovery and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with stepdown or telemetry experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Experience with cardiac drip management, chest tube care and epidural management preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and IV Glucommander is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and meet weekend scheduling needs
Education
- Active RN license (state of practice)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Stepdown/CV progressive care clinical practices
- Management of titratable cardiac infusions and vasoactive drips
- Chest tube, epidural and post-op surgical care
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records
- Strong communication, prioritization and teamwork skills
