Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); rotating schedule with night shifts and weekend coverage — must work 3 weekends per 6-week schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, family-centered critical care for PICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Manage ventilators and complex respiratory care safely and confidently
- Perform advanced bedside procedures including IV starts, catheter care, central line dressing changes and tracheostomy care
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ICP data to guide timely interventions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed to support patient needs and broaden skills
- Support patient and family education, offering clear communication and emotional support during critical moments
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential — able to practice in the assignment state
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year of PICU experience preferred
- Proven skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care procedures
- Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and Cerner documentation
- Comfortable floating to Pediatrics and NICU and adapting to unit-specific policies
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric critical care principles and best practices
- Ventilator management and weaning protocols
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Alaris infusion pump operation and medication infusion safety
- Cerner electronic health record documentation
- Central line and trach care, ICP monitoring, tube feeding procedures
- IV starts, catheter management and LP assistance
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and family-centered communication
