Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality interventional radiology imaging and assist with procedures using fluoroscopy and other modalities
• Prepare and maintain sterile procedure trays and interventional suites to support safe patient care
• Operate and troubleshoot radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, ensuring optimal image quality
• Monitor patient status during procedures and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to ensure excellent outcomes
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate procedure documentation
• Educate patients and families about procedures, positioning, and post-procedure instructions with compassion and clarity
• Maintain inventory, equipment cleaning, and routine maintenance to support uninterrupted care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology technologist (experience listed in posting)
• ARRT (R) certification or equivalent registry in Radiography; IR-specific credentials preferred
• Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (Florida licensure required or eligible)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or advanced certifications a plus
• Proven ability to work in high-acuity procedural settings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong attention to sterile technique, radiation safety, and patient-centered care

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited radiography program
• ARRT (R) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep familiarity with fluoroscopy, digital imaging, and PACS systems
• Comfort with sterile field setup, catheterization trays, and contrast media administration
• Skill in patient positioning, vascular access support, and monitoring during procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and escalate maintenance needs
• Clear communication skills for patient education and team coordination
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
